Airstrip Details 

The runway is 12/30 situated 500 m south of the Resort Buildings.

Dimensions are 1100 m x 60 m, GPS co-ordinates are 17º 07.34' S,  139º 35.93' E.

The surface is hard gravelly clay and is normally not affected by all but the heaviest rain.

Avgas is available at Burketown and Karumba.  No aviation fuel is stored on the island.

You can contact the Resort inbound on VHF 126.4.

Please note: Next G Mobile Phone coverage is available along most of the coast while in your aircraft, and is sometimes available on the ground at Sweers.

New - The recent local Government changes mean that we are now part of the Mornington Shire and therefore we are subject
to the alcohol restrictions of that Shire. Our airstrip is not included
in our licensed area and it has now become an offence to possess alcohol
on the airstrip. The maximum penalty for a first offence is $37,500.00
so we suggest that you do not try to bring in alcohol in your aircraft.
