LAW AND DISORDER ON SWEERS!

It's August and the annual visit by Brisbane Legal Eagles Dennis, Greg and Steve with newbie John in tow this year. Poor John thought he was going to have a few days to relax before Court, alas the guys had him up at dawn and back in the boat before lunch was digested, hardly even time to brew a coffee...

But it was all worth it and the guys had some magnificent fishing while they were here - Greg got his first EVER Spanish Mackerel, and what a way to start - straight in at the top with 16.5 kg! Next day, what does he do? Goes out and gets ANOTHER 16kg specimen! All this in mid August, when we'd be thinking "the Macks are gone"...

They also caught some magnificent Coral Trout, Reds (Perch and Emperor), Cod, Stripey, Parrot - a real mixed bag. And we cooked the variety of fish in a variety of ways to see which they liked best - but it was a tough choice - they are torn between the Honey Fish and the Smoked Fish!

They also got to see their first Morning Glory (Steve had seen one here before) and what a beauty it was too - the day dawned with a big sea fog, then the Morning Glory rolled in from the north east and vacuumed the lot up for brekky. Magnificent. Conditions are ideal for this amazing phenomenon so hopefully we will see another one tomorrow!

Click on the thumbnails below to see some of their photos, meanwhile here is a full size view of Greg's first Mackerel and of today's Morning Glory cloud.

Does he look pleased with himself or what!
