Easy  Caraway Seed Dumplings

These easy Dumplings are the perfect accompaniment to a hearty Stew!

Degree of difficulty: Low

You need:

225g Self Raising Flour
125g grated hard margarine/butter
2 teaspoons carawayeeds
150ml sour cream

Method:
In a bowl, mix together the flour and caraway seeds. Grate in the butter or cooking marg and mix through so the flour coats the butter for even cooking.

Stir in the cream and water, mix to a soft dough, then divide into about 8 portions, roll into balls and place on top of the stew. (Assuming that your stew is steaming hot, from the oven.

Put a lid on top and return to the oven for half an hour to cook the dumplings.
