GREG TOM BACK AGAIN

Well, we are all back on deck, after a good break and an excellent Wet Season which has filled the wells to the brim and left the lawns nice and green. The fish are biting, and our first guests have been busy both off the beach and in the boats. Greg Tom is back, with father and son duo Derek and Brad, and they have been catching some nice parrotfish (Venus Tuskfish, excellent eating), Jewfish, Sweetlip and Barra - oops, Barracuda, not Barramundi!

Derek with a lovely Venus Tuskfish...

That's Derek, almost 80 years old and still pulling in the big ones...

(Thanks to Brad for the great photo!)

And here are some photos from Greg - click on the thumbnails for a larger image...

That's the aircraft being refuelled along the way at Longrech with the QANTAS Museum Jumbo in the background, the island, Fleetmaster Mick waiting to show the guys to their boat, and the guys getting organised in their boat.

And it didn't take long to start catching fish! Nice coral trout and reds from Brad and Greg, a nice Cod from Greg and Derek, then a big 13lb cod which the boys released unharmed, and a nice parrot from Michael.

And here is how nice and green the island looks from the air...

The Big Wet has really greened up the island...
