MACK ATTACK

It's winter in the Gulf, and that means the Game-Fish of the Gulf is back - Spanish Mackerel. The record stands at 59kg so it will take 60kg to beat that. We know they're out there...

And the record for the 2006 season so far, is 22kg - caught by Mary Denning with a little help from husband Ken! Well done, Mary!

Our own Bob Harvey is running a close second though! He caught this 19kg Mackerel and what a whopper! Well done, Bob!

How is this for a Family Photo! This is the Forde family, from Harvey Bay, who travel to Sweers every year, and know their fishing - check this out:

That's Rex, Peter and Ron with three nice Scarlet Sea Perch. Well done!

Our own Mick has been having a bit of a go - check out this fine specimen, which we cooked up for lunch the next day - you don't get much fresher than that!

And regular temporary resident, Bob Harvey, from Albury, has been keeping up his reputation, ducking out each afternoon for a brief trawl, and returning most nights with a nice mackerel...
