Then we had the Hogan Family from Brisbane once again, showing us how a family can have great fun out on the water catching good fish...

Pat, Lily, Mick and Joe Hogan with a fine catch of fish.

Then there were the Three Amigos...

That is John (Freddo), Gary and George with a fine haul of Queenfish.

While they were here, the Three Amigos had a bit of an Adventure... a sneaky Cod (we think) snatched Gary's rod & reel overboard during a quiet lull when he left it out of his hand to sharpen his knife...the cod took off with Gary's prized Lumus rod & Shimano reel, which were a retirement gift, and worth about $1100...needless to say, Gary was devastated. But he kept his head and as they were fishing at anchor; before they moved again they tossed a few lead sinkers attached by fishing line to a plastic drink bottle - to mark the spot. They returned to the resort and after lunch Tex & Lyn headed out with the scuba gear to see if they could find the lost rod & reel...the float was still there, but bearing in mind that the fish could have towed the rod quite a long way, plus underwater visibility of under a metre, Lyn did not hold out much hope of finding the rod. The bottom is all fallen boulders and craggy overhangs, and she peered under every rock, turning after swimming ten metres to make another pass...incredibly, there on the sand was the distinct un-natural straightness of a rod tip! Lyn grabbed it, then traced the line across the bottom to where the hook was snagged on a small rock. Wound it all up, then surfaced holding the rod aloft 'Excalibur' style - to much applause from the Three Amigos! Needless to say, the wine flowed freely that night! And the rod Excalibur went on to catch a few fine fish over the next few days...

Then there was Mick George from Port Vincent, SA, with the first Tuna of the season:

Meanwhile, as guests were fishing, resort management was swimming and picnicking!

Glenis and Ann enjoying the warm tropical waters.               Picnic on the Point at Sunset.

That's Glenis and Anne enjoying their daily swim, and a sunset gathering at the Sandy Point...
