MAN-POWER!

The Steve Power group is back again, and another great trip for them, with perfect weather in the Gulf. The bad weather over on the east coast changed their plans of heading there in favour of an extra day at Sweers - and Rod in particular is glad they did that...see what he caught on the extra day, below!!!

That's Dave on the left, wrestling a huge Bronze Whaler shark - released unharmed, apart from its ego! That must be a very strong rod that he's using, check out the bend on the tip! (Please note that from July 1, 2009, sharks more than 1.5m cannot be caught.) Further along is Dave with a magnificent Queenie, then Alan with a Cod, Rodney with his massive 12kg Mackerel and Steve with a huge Cod, released after the photo was taken. Big cod like this can be brought inboard without too much injury if they are gaffed at the lip/jaw, so that you can remove the lure/hook they've swallowed before releasing them to breed.
